Google Earns Top Honors from Frost & Sullivan for its Vision in Developing Innovative Android for Work Solutions

Google’s Android for Work provides secure anywhere, anytime access to company data, cementing Google’s leadership in the mobile enterprise productivity market

Based on its recent analysis of the mobile enterprise productivity market, Frost & Sullivan has recognized Google with the 2015 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Visionary Innovation Leadership.

Founded in 1998 as a search engine company, Google has grown into an innovative powerhouse offering Web-based services and products for consumers and businesses. Significantly, it is in a unique position to address the needs of mobile professionals due to its clear line of sight into enterprise-specific challenges inherent in the increasing use of technology.

“In order to compete in today’s mobile enterprise market, solution providers must be process driven and focus on effective strategies that will carry over smoothly as technology progresses,” said Frost & Sullivan Mobile & Wireless Vice President Brent Iadarola.

“Google has leveraged its broad technological reach and foresight to anticipate and address the evolving needs of mobile customers.”

Google’s “for Work” solution set is characterized by openness, agility, and flexibility. The entire solution set comprises Android for Work, Chrome for Work, Google Apps for Work, Google Cloud Platform, Maps for Work, and Search for Work. Frost & Sullivan research suggests there is a strong need and ample market opportunity to expand these solutions into a variety of verticals, including field services, home healthcare, the public sector, and transportation and distribution.

Android for Work offers an optimized method for consistently managing an array of Android devices using a single management console. It also presents user-friendly ways to find, set up, and provision global management of applications across mobile devices.

Google has leveraged its R&D and experience in serving mobile customers to position Android for Work as a valuable, scalable tool for a variety of industries. New application programming interfaces now allow Android for Work to be used for advanced workflow management in industries that have traditionally been slow to embrace mobile business practices.

“Android for Work mitigates the risk of security breaches common on personal devices. Customized enterprise controls determine the type of information that will be made available to any employee device at any given time,” noted Iadarola.

“Through such stringent control over mobile-accessible workplace data and documents, and a focus on a broad spectrum of customers, Google is positioning itself as a mainstay in the mobile enterprise market.”

Frost & Sullivan Global President and Managing Partner Krishna Srinivasan said,

“Google is demonstrating what it takes to be a visionary innovator in the mobile enterprise productivity space, with its deep understanding of the future needs of mobile customers. Android for Work is a testament to Google’s singular focus on creating solutions that not only improve business performance, but also enhance individuals’ work and personal lives,”

For leading the charge toward transformational mobile practices across industries that are only beginning to mobilize work solutions, Frost & Sullivan is pleased to present Google with the 2015 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Visionary Innovation Leadership.
