CompTIA, the not-for-profit IT industry association has announced that registration to attend its 2016 EMEA Member and Partner Conference is now open. The event will take place on the 11th and 12th of October at etc.venues 155 Bishopsgate in London.

The annual conference brings together a range of the top IT solution providers, vendors, distributors, training companies, academies and content publishers from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It provides a platform for industry experts to connect, collaborate and gain insight into the latest technologies and trends to help grow their businesses and the IT industry.

Kelly Ricker, Senior Vice President, Events & Education at CompTIA said:

“It’s an exciting time to be a part of the IT industry. The market continues to grow stronger as businesses evolve to keep up with the technological landscape. This comes with new opportunities and new challenges, and events such as this allow the industry to come together and share ideas of how to make the most of the current landscape and overcome any hurdles they may face.”

The EMEA Conference will provide delegates with a variety of tools and learnings that can be easily and immediately be implemented in their organisations to help them succeed in the IT industry. Last year’s conference proved to be highly beneficial to delegates, boasting a 91% satisfaction rate, highlighting the diverse mix of speakers, networking opportunities and diverse subject areas.

This year’s conference will be themed around disruption, innovation, and IT businesses growth. As in previous years, the event is divided into IT Channel and Certification Partner Tracks.

The two tracks run over both days, with the IT Channel track beginning with community updates, and a series of channel workshops that focus on business improvement in areas such as content marketing and the client experience. Day one will also include a presentation in recognition of the community as well as a keynote from Chris van der Kuyl, Chairman of 4J Studios, which created Minecraft.

On Day one, delegates of the Certification Partner track will witness the launch of a brand new certification, the Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+), as well as updates on CompTIA’s Academy and Delivery Programmes. There will be a session on ‘how to legally murder your competitions online’ for both certifications and membership attendees, as well as how to avoid a ‘fixed business mind-set’ on the certification side. Further sessions will cover the IT Department of the future, how to integrate Linux into your A+ course, how to build a cyber-workforce, and teaching via social media.

The second day will feature an opening keynote from Todd Thibodeaux, CEO of CompTIA on the state of the industry, as well as a keynote presentation on the power of perseverance from Devon Harris, star of the hit Disney film Cool Runnings to close the day.

Channel specific sessions on day two include “Using cybersecurity to grow your managed services business,” as well as a look at how some channel organisations are using Internet of Things to further their offerings. Certification Partners will be able to attend the Certification Unconference session as well as general talks on what apprentices can mean for your company.
