Amazon has launched AWS Wavelength, an AWS infrastructure that enables enterprises and developers to build ultra-low latency applications that can be delivered via the Vodafone 5G network. Amazon says that by embedding AWS compute and storage services at the edge of 5G networks, “AWS Wavelength enables software developers to serve edge computing use cases like machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and video and game streaming.”

The UK’s largest event for data, Big Data LDN (London) will be a virtual event this year and will take place on 23rd and 24th September. Global data leaders will gather virtually for the first time ever to allow visitors, speakers and exhibitors to remotely explore the new data frontier.
Jubliee Line Subway
EE is switching on 4G on the London Underground for the first time as part of TfL’s 4G pilot on the Jubilee Line. The Transport for London (TfL) pilot will bring 4G connectivity to millions of customers on the eastern half of the Jubilee Line.
Three UK
Three UK has launched its 5G service today, available in London as a home broadband service. The company says that its single 5G plan will shake up the broadband market with customers able to cancel their landline and instantly access fibre-like, ultrafast speeds compared to what the average UK customer currently obtains using traditional, fixed broadband services.
Microsoft Reactor
Microft has opened a $20 million venue in London to help the UK remain the home of technology innovation in Europe. The Reactor, in Shoreditch, will be used to “nurture and develop start-up talent in the UK” by giving new businesses access to Microsoft partners, customers and products, UK Chief Executive Cindy Rose said.

OnePlus has announced that they are finally dropping their Invite System in order to buy one of their devices. This will kick off from the release of the OnePlus 3 which will be able to purchase invite-free, right from launch day.
Google has opened its first Google Shop in London. Based at Currys PC World on London Tottenham Court Road, the shop will sell Google's latest range of Android phones, tablets, Chromebook laptops and Chromecast TV services.
OnePlus has announced that it will be selling its OnePlus One without an invite every Tuesday, starting on February 10. Every Tuesday, the company will open up sales for 24 hours, starting at 8 am London time (midnight in Los Angeles; 4 pm in Hong Kong).
