Apple has released iOS 17.0.3, aimed at fixing the issuing where iPhone 15 models were seriously overheating. iOS 17.0.3 also provides important bug fixes and security updates.
Specifically, there’s a kernel update which addresses problems with “a local attacker” and means that “the issue was addressed with improved checks.”
The second security issue is one where “a buffer overflow may result in arbitrary code execution.” This was addressed by Apple by updating to libvpx 1.13.1.
