In the video below, Daniel (Gail-Joon) Ahn, Corporate SVP and Head of Mobile Platform Center, Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics, explains how Samsung Knox Vault has been designed to keep user data private and secure at all times.

Samsung Knox Vault is the security system for mobile devices and their content. It is a solution composed of a secure processor, secure memory and integrated software to protect what resides in the smartphone, especially the access credentials and biometric data.

It consists of the various lines of defense and protection of the aforementioned data, so that they do not escape by accident, or are unduly accessed. It is a multilayered system that also promises to protect data from hardware attacks.

To this end, Samsung will have worked closely with Qualcomm Technologies to develop a chip dedicated to protecting content. A “heart” created to prevent data tampering on the smartphone, or changes to key components of the smartphone, thus providing an extra layer of security on the Samsung Galaxy S21.
