Three UK moving to new central office in Reading

Three is set to move its central office to Reading, with its two Thames Valley offices combined in one location for the first time

Three UK is set to move to a new central office building in Reading, which will combine its colleagues across Maidenhead and Reading for the first time.

While the 117,000 square foot building is still under construction in the Green Park business centre, the space has been carefully chosen in line with the criteria that matters to Three’s employees, including great transport links, state of the art meeting rooms, accessible parking and open spaces.

Robert Finnegan, CEO, Three UK said:

“Maidenhead has been our home for the last 17 years and we’re thankful for the support of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Councilduring this time.

But now it is time for a new chapter in Three’s history and we are really excited to be moving our central office into Green Park, Reading. We have looked hard to find a place that fits the type of organisation we are today, but also one that will suit us as we grow over the coming years.”

In addition, Three has also been looking at the way they work and have decided to embed a hybrid approach to working across all their offices. Employees will be encouraged to see the office as a hub they can use in combination with home working, rather than a place to work five days a week.

Mark Redmond, Chief People Officer, said,

“The last 12 months have shown the many benefits of working from home and we believe going forwards a working week at Three will mean people meeting in the office less frequently but with more purpose. We will be rolling this out across all our offices in the UK, and our new office space in Green Park, Reading, is being designed with this hybrid system in mind”.

Three says it aims to have colleagues working in the new central office in Q3 of 2021.
