CollegePlus and T-Mobile Partner to Help Students “Study From Anywhere”

CollegePlus has partnered with T-Mobile to conduct an experiment to discover if providing college students with iPads will increase their flexibility and allow them to break out of the classroom, make the world their campus, and gain valuable life experience.

In a brand new experiment, CollegePlus and T-Mobile have partnered to put iPads into the hands of a select group of college students and measure their success.

Ten students will be randomly selected from those who enroll in CollegePlus between May 20, 2014 and June 20, 2014. The selected students will receive an iPad equipped with a case, keyboard, and T-Mobile unlimited international data.

While CollegePlus has provided iPads to students in the past, this experiment marks the first time results will be measured. Through surveys, this experiment seeks to provide quantitative data on whether having an iPad equipped with an international data plan increases the learning and flexibility of students.

Using the iPad, students can access all the CollegePlus online learning systems, as well as those of iUniversity and a myriad of other popular resources. CollegePlus students can study at any time, from anywhere around the world, as they earn their bachelor’s degree.

Cameron Koch, a CollegePlus student, explained,

“At first I didn’t think the iPad would be of much use as a learning tool; I just thought it would be a fun toy. It wasn’t until I actually began my CollegePlus studies that I realized the full potential the iPad has for college students. With the iPad I can read books, listen to lectures or watch videos wherever I might be. I use my iPad every day and I’m positive it has enhanced my learning experience.”
