Huawei has announced a new beta program for the EMUI 10 beta, which is of course based on Android 10. Interested users are able to sign up for the program and if accepted, they can test out the new EMUI 10 software on eligible devices.
The EMUI 10 beta will be initially available for the Huawei P30 and the P30 Pro. After that, the beta will be available for the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design, the Honor 20 series, Honor V20, and the Honor Magic 2.
Huawei has restricted the testing to Chinese P30 (ELE-AL00 and ELE-TL00) and P30 Pro (VOG-AL00, VOG-AL10 and VOG-TL00) devices. Interested users must update to the latest August security patch ( 9.1.103) before enrolling for the beta test.
There is a limit of 2,000 members for the beta program, so if you want to sign up, you will need to do it quickly. Huawei will announce the list of selected users on September 7th.
Users should remember that these are initial beta releases and will have bugs. Huwawei currently points out that after installing the beta, banking apps may not work correctly, the night scene mode on front camera is not supported, Dark mode on some apps might be inconsistent and existing EMUI 9.1 themes may cause compatibility issues.
The final update should be available by the end of this year.
