O2 to level-up remote working capabilities for KPMG UK

O2 wins new mandate to provide connectivity tools to help support operational activity

O2 has won a new mandate with professional services provider KPMG UK. O2 will provide KPMG employees with new business services, including remote working tools that have helped the company operate during lockdown.

O2 has successfully rolled out remote working tools across all of KPMG’s UK business operations.

O2’s green credentials were instrumental in helping to secure the deal, with strong environmental commitments well-aligned with KPMG’s sustainable procurement programme.

Earlier this year, O2 pledged to become the first UK telecoms company to reach net-zero, aiming to get there by 2025 and to help suppliers cut carbon emissions by 30% in the next five years.

Efficient and reliable remote working solutions have become increasingly important to businesses as they navigate a new model of flexible working in light of COVID-19.

This comes as the country looks towards a flexible and digitalised future working style, with new research from O2 on The Flexible Future of Work finding that 45% of the workforce predict a permanent change to their company’s approach to flexible working after lockdown.

Jo Bertram, Managing Director at O2 Business, said:

“O2 is working with businesses across the country to help them embrace digital connectivity as part of our ongoing efforts to rebuild Britain and kick-start the economy following COVID-19. We are excited to be working with KPMG to level-up their remote working capabilities in these challenging times.”

Timothy Jones, Chief Operating Officer at KPMG UK, said:

“We are continually transforming our business to support the changing needs of our clients and employees, and mobile technology is an important enabler of creating a connected enterprise. Following a competitive tender process, we are pleased to have appointed O2 as the mobile network provider for our UK business.”
