SynsorMed Announces Wearable-Integrated Mobile Telehealth Solution at HIMSS15

Health IT Startup’s Patent-Pending Technology Integrates with Wearable Technology to Create Virtual Consultations

SynsorMed, a mobile telehealth solution, will announce its integration with wearable technology for patient monitoring at this year’s HIMSS Annual Conference. This patent-pending solution allows for cost effective post-op, follow-up and initial video consultations with patients, while providing real-time access to patient medical and fitness data – making SynsorMed’s platform truly a virtual exam room.

“Our solution was built with healthcare providers in mind, by ensuring HIPAA compliance and ease of integration into their existing post-op workflow,” says Theo Harvey, co-founder of SynsorMed.

“As health IT advances and regulations increase, we’re proud to be at the forefront of empowering providers through mobile telehealth technology. It only made sense to announce our patent-pending solution at the largest health IT event in the industry.”

Studies have proven that telehealth services can be as effective as in-person patient consultations and can save hospitals $100 or more per visit. Unlike traditional telehealth providers, SynsorMed now integrates with wearable technology to ensure effective remote monitoring of patient biometric information, like heart rate and pulse oxygen levels.

Although launching nationally at HIMSS15, beta tests within ambulatory surgical centers have proven successful.

“We are just entering the virtual market by expanding our original clinic, and we are very excited about the SynsorMed technology,” says Mary Cahill-Roberts, medical director at Nuestros Ninos, Our Kids Pediatrics in Marietta, Ga.

“With the help of SynsorMed, we are launching our virtual business to deliver personalized ‘house calls’ to our patients. This should help lead our healthcare delivery by preventing emergency room visits and increase our clinic visits with children that need to come in for evaluation.”

Practices can easily reach their entire patient population by recommending they download the SynsorMed app, which is available in the iTunes App Store and Google Play, and is currently integrating with Fitbit and Withings wearable devices.
