Nokia Lumia 630 available on May 29 for under £90

Lumia 630 with 4.5″ screen, quad processor and Windows Phone 8.1 for under £90

Nokia has announced the Lumia 630, which will go on sale in the UK on 29 May. Now owned by Microsoft, but still using its original name, Nokia says the 630 is the most affordable Lumia to date and will come with Windows Phone 8.1

Borrowing many design cues from the rest of the Lumia range, the Lumia 630 has a rear cover made of matt-finished polycarbonate which is interchangeable and available in a range of different colours.

The Lumia 630 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and with 512MB of RAM. There’s just 8GB of internal storage, but this can be increased by up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. Around the back, Nokia has fitted a 5-megapixel camera.

The screen has a resolution of 845 x 480 but at £89.95 SIM-free thats’s to be expected. The Lumia 630 will act as a strong Windows Phone rival to the equally-priced Motorola Moto E.

The phone goes on sale in the UK at EE, O2, Tesco, Carphone Warehouse and Amazon from £89.95 and will be available in a range of colours including bright orange, bright yellow, bright green, white and black.[signoff predefined=”Enjoy this?” icon=”icon-users”][/signoff]
