Along with the launch of the Huawei P40 Series of smartphones, the company also revealed the Huawei Watch GT 2e, a new variant of the Watch GT 2 featuring a sportier design and a more affordable price than its predecessor.
Huawei Watch GT 2e features a new look and is built around a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454×454 pixels of resolution. However, it comes with thicker bezels in comparison to the more expensive Watch GT 2.
The watch measures 53.0 x 46.8mm. The new build includes a TPU wrist band. It comes with some small holes to improve the breathability of your pulse. Apart from the watchband, the GT2e features stainless steel construction.
SpO2 MonitoringHuawei Watch GT2e features a SpO2 sensor, which stands for peripheral capillary oxygen saturation. It gives you an estimate of the amount of oxygen in the blood, allowing you to get your maximal oxygen uptake. The watch can also monitor aerobic and anaerobic workouts and measure the effects of it on your health and wellness.
Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) is one of the important vital signs that can reflect the oxygen supply of the body. In fact, very low levels of SpO2 can result in serious symptoms like lack of energy, fatigue and light-headedness.
Better Sleep MonitoringWith Huawei TruSleep 2.0, Huawei Watch GT 2e can scientifically track and diagnose 6 common types of sleep issues while providing suggestions for better rest. And, while you sleep, the watch monitors your heart rate, analyses your breathing and awards a score on your overall sleep quality.
Huawei Watch GT 2e can track a variety of exercises, including skateboarding, rock climbing, surfing, and even street dance. Moreover, you can take it for a swim both in a pool or open water (The watch has 5 ATM water resistance). While you’re at home, you can use treadmills, elliptical and rowing machines and the GT 2e will monitor everything.
