Samsung opens up Galaxy Nougat Beta Program to more UK users

Samsung has opened up the Galaxy Beta program to more UK users, following the initial rollout earlier this month. This gives Galaxy S7 and S7 edge owners a second change to try pre-release versions of Nougat for the phones, after the first wave of places were quickly snapped up.

If you were one of those in the UK who missed out on registering your device the last time, now is the time to apply for beta testing once again. Samsung has a released three updates for beta testers so far to fix some bugs and to introduce new features.

As before, users simply need to download the Galaxy Beta app, hit the “Registration” button, then follow the instructions.

To get started, you’ll have to get the Galaxy Beta Program app installed on your Galaxy S7 or S7 edge. The app is available in the Galaxy Apps store, not the Play Store. Just open up Galaxy Apps and search for “Galaxy Beta Program” — it’ll be the first result.

  1. Open the Galaxy Beta Program app and tap Start
  2. Tap the menu button in the top-right corner and tap Registration
  3. Read the FAQ and then tap Registration at the bottom
  4. Tap the checkbox next to I agree and then tap Agree at the bottom

Once you’re successfully registered, it may take a little bit of time for your account to be selected to receive the update. Once the update is available, you’ll receive a software update notification to download the latest beta update.
