HTC to unveil next Flagship Smartphone at MWC on 1st March

HTC will unveil their latest One flagship at an event in Barcelona on March 1st, the day before Mobile World Congress begins.

The company has sent out invitations for its big event with the words, “utopia in progress,”.

While HTC itself isn’t disclosing any further information, it is all but a certainty that this March 1st event will host the unveiling of the next One smartphone launch, the successor to the HTC One (M8).

If the rumours pan out to be true, HTC will not be naming this the HTC One (M9). The HTC Hima, is the product’s tentative name and is expected to feature a 1440 x 2560 QHD screen, 3GB of RAM and an octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU.

An Adreno 430 GPU will handle graphics while Android 5.0 is pre-installed with Sense 7.0 interface is available out of the box. A 20.7MP rear-facing camera should find itself at the back of the unit, with a 13MP front-facing snapper included.
