iOS 14
Apple has unexpectedly released iOS 14.4.1, which fixes a vulnerability in WebKit, so that malicious web content won’t have its way. Apple describes this as “A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved validation”.
Competition and Markets Authority
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) investigating Apple’s conduct in relation to the distribution of apps on iOS and iPadOS devices in the UK, in particular, the terms and conditions governing app developers’ access to Apple’s App Store.

Data published by the Trusted Connectivity Alliance (TCA) showed 2020 had an 83% increase in eSIM shipments year-on-year, reaching 309 million units. Google is making it possible to use the voice command “Hey Google” to not just open but also perform specific tasks within Android apps. BlackBerry on Thursday reported a loss of $23 million in its fiscal second quarter but beat both Revenue And EPS Expectations. The company says the loss amounted to four cents per diluted share for the quarter ended Aug. 31. The result compared with a loss of US$44 million or 10 cents per diluted share a year earlier.
