BlackBerry has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Snap Inc. SImilar to the companies lawsuit against Facebook last month, BlackBerry says that Snap has infringed on intellectual property, including innovations on real-time activity location for maps, message notification techniques and methods for integrating advertising on mobile devices.

BlackBerry announced today that it has filed its 2018 annual report on Form 40-F with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”). BlackBerry’s Form 40-F includes the company’s 2018 annual information form (“AIF”) and the management discussion and analysis (“MD&A”) and audited financial statements of the company for the fiscal year ended February 28, 2018.

However, after the plaintiffs submitted an amended lawsuit, over statements related to blackberry 10, a US Judge has rejected BlackBerry's request to dismiss the amended lawsuit.
BlackBerry and Microsoft announced today that they have partnered to release BlackBerry Enterprise BRIDGE, combining some of Microsoft's most popular programs with BlackBerry's secure, mobile working tools. The new service allows customers to access Microsoft mobile apps from within the BlackBerry Dynamics service - available on any iOS or Android device.
BlackBerry's India managing director Narendra Nayak has quit the company, two years after joining. BlackBerry has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Facebook and its companies WhatsApp and Instagram for their use of instant messaging. The lawsuit alleges that Facebook "created mobile messaging applications that co-opt BlackBerry's innovations, using a number of the innovative security, user interface, and functionality enhancing features.

As a developer I've questioned myself many times "is it worth it". Even as a BlackBerry 10 user, I've always felt ripped off "having" to pay for apps that were not only free, but legal on other platforms.
