Samsung launched the Galaxy Fold in Korea yesterday and the company has announced the folding smartphone will be an exclusive to EE in the UK. The Galaxy Fold 5G will be available to buy from 18th September from EE, as well as from Samsung Experience Stores.
Huawei announced a new version of its current P30 Pro flagship phone today, which will run Android 10, the newest version of Google’s operating system. The device, which will be released on September 20, is identical internally to the current P30 Pro but has been given a new external look and colours.

Google has released the September 2019 Android Security Bulletin, giving carriers and device makers a fresh set of patches to install. Google device firmware images have also been released to the Google Developer site.

Apple has released iOS 12.4.1 to the public, fixing a vulnerability that was reported last week that made it possible to jailbreak many recent iPhone models running iOS 12.4. The release comes after it was discovered that Apple accidentally unpatched a vulnerability that was originally fixed in iOS 12.3.
Google has decided that it’s time to put its sweet naming convention for major Android releases to rest, switching to a numeric naming scheme which is easier to understand and communicate. Android Q will not be given an accompanying dessert name as previous versions of Android have gotten over the years.
Huawei today received an award from the European Image and Sound Association (EISA), a group comprising 55 of the world’s most respected consumer electronics magazines. HUAWEI’s P30 Pro was named “EISA Best Smartphone 2019-2020” by the Association, the second year in a row Huawei has won this category.
