Mission critical software company Deep3, formerly Deep Sky Blue, announced today its change in name to reflect the increasing level of insight and expertise required by its national security customer base, including the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and MOD's Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).

UK privacy regulators are seeking a warrant to search the offices of the political consultancy Cambridge Analytica, following reports that the company may have improperly gained access to data on 50 million Facebook users.
National Lottery
The National Lottery is advising all 10.5million people with online accounts to change their passwords following a security breach that happened days before tonight's £14million Euromillions draw. Camelot, the lottery operator, said hackers had made attempts to access accounts and that limited information may have been viewed.
Microsoft Reactor
Microft has opened a $20 million venue in London to help the UK remain the home of technology innovation in Europe. The Reactor, in Shoreditch, will be used to “nurture and develop start-up talent in the UK” by giving new businesses access to Microsoft partners, customers and products, UK Chief Executive Cindy Rose said.
Broadband
Aberdeen is set to become a forerunner for digital transformation in Scotland with the announcement of a new Gigabit-capable full fibre broadband network under the Vodafone and CityFibre Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) programme. The Vodafone and CityFibre partnership will mean that Aberdeen becomes Scotland’s first city in which nearly every home and business will have access to gigabit-speed broadband.
Carphone-Warehouse
Carphone Warehouse has been issued with one of the largest fines by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), after one of their computer systems was compromised as a result of a cyber-attack in 2015.
